Compatibility & Modding
The shell is already prepped for IPS displays – no modifications needed. The original LCD can still be used as well. The battery compartment fits both standard AA batteries and battery mods like the CleanJuice USB-C Battery Pack. Planning a stereo speaker mod? Check beforehand whether you need the stereo variant of the shell, as it features two speaker openings. Also note: screw posts are not pre-threaded – the screws self-tap when inserted. So remember: do not over-tighten, or you risk cracking the shell.
