Easy Pairing and Setup
Getting started is simple. Just plug the adapter into any controller port on your N64. The LED will flash, indicating pairing mode is active. Put your Bluetooth controller into pairing mode, and once connected, your controller will automatically reconnect whenever you press a button. The built-in button on the adapter lets you manage connections: a short press disconnects devices, a 3-second hold enables pairing mode, and a 10-second hold performs a factory reset if needed.
Web Configuration and Firmware Updates
The web config is accessible through any Chrome browser (desktop or Android) when no controller is connected. Simply visit the BlueRetro Config website to access all settings, remap buttons, and manage your virtual Memory Pak banks. Firmware updates are handled the same way—download the latest version from the BlueRetro GitHub, navigate to the update page, and install it wirelessly. Updates typically take around 5 minutes on PC, though Android devices may require more time.
Technical Notes
While the adapter works flawlessly in most setups, keep in mind that running four adapters simultaneously may strain older or degraded N64 power supplies. In our testing, four adapters worked perfectly, but your results may vary depending on your power supply's condition.
