The GPD BOX is a premium specialist mini PC, so we are not filling the warehouse with random configurations. Place your pre-order by 11 November 2026 and we will order the requested units from GPD. Delivery is planned for early December 2026, subject to the manufacturer and shipping schedule. This is an estimate, not a guarantee. We offer selected configurations as part of this limited pre-order offer. All orders received by the deadline will be included in our order placed with GPD immediately afterwards. We expect delivery before the end of 2026; this depends on GPD. If there are any delays, we will inform you promptly.
Important: Two versions, two very different strengths
We offer both processor versions with 32GB RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The distinction goes well beyond a minor CPU clock difference.
Intel Core Ultra X7 358H: The stronger choice for using the graphics built into the mini PC. Its Intel Arc B390 GPU has twelve Xe3 graphics cores and offers considerably more 3D performance. However, this version does not have an MCIO connector. Compatible USB4 eGPU docks can still be used.
Intel Core Ultra 7 356H: Features smaller Intel integrated graphics with four Xe3 graphics cores, but adds an MCIO 8i port for high-bandwidth PCIe expansion, including compatible eGPU docks such as the GPD G2. According to GPD, the MCIO cable is included only with this variant. This can be the better choice if you plan to use a desktop GPU anyway.
In other words, the decision is between stronger integrated graphics and high-bandwidth external expansion. Do not assume the higher model number offers both.
Intel Panther Lake power for gaming and work
Both configurations use Intel Core Ultra Series 3 Panther Lake chips with sixteen cores: four Performance, eight Efficient and four Low-Power Efficient cores. The 358H boosts up to 4.8GHz, while the 356H reaches up to 4.7GHz. Configurable power profiles run from roughly 15W up to 80W, with a typical 25W base profile.
Whether you are developing software, running office applications, editing photos, playing PC games or using emulators, both models have ample CPU resources. The larger Arc B390 GPU makes the 358H more interesting for games and demanding integrated graphics tasks, while actual performance always depends on the workload and settings.
Intel rates combined AI performance at up to 180 TOPS for the 358H and 100 TOPS for the 356H. Both include an NPU with up to 50 TOPS for supported local AI features. Very large AI models may still benefit from a dedicated graphics card.
Fast memory and expandable storage
Our configurations ship with 32GB dual-channel LPDDR5X-8533 RAM and a pre-installed 1TB NVMe SSD. The onboard memory is not a user-replaceable SO-DIMM; GPD also describes other capacities across the wider product family, but those are not separate variants in this offer.
Two M.2 2280 NVMe positions are available, one running at PCIe 5.0 x4 and the second at PCIe 4.0 x2. This provides room for an additional SSD, with NVMe 2.0 support.
Connectivity for a serious desktop
Connectivity includes two USB4 v2.0 ports capable of up to 80Gbps, four USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports at up to 10Gbps each, DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1 and two 2.5Gb Ethernet ports. There is also a combined 3.5mm audio socket, built-in microphone, stereo speakers and a BIOS reset opening.
Wireless networking uses Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, with a replaceable wireless module. USB4 also provides DisplayPort output, but the BOX does not support USB-PD input through its USB4 ports.
Both models can use compatible external GPUs over USB4. Only the Core Ultra 7 356H offers MCIO 8i with PCIe 5.0 x8, a much higher-bandwidth path for suitable external equipment. The eGPU dock and desktop graphics card are sold separately.
Compact metal housing, built-in power
At about 175 x 134 x 39.5mm and 940g, this black aluminium-magnesium mini PC takes very little desk space. The included vertical stand keeps it neatly upright. Two cooling fans and four heatpipes handle the thermal load.
The 160W GaN power supply is built in, so you only need a mains cable instead of a separate power brick. The power button integrates a fingerprint reader. GPD specifies Windows 11 Home 64-bit (25H2), dTPM 2.0 and DTS:X Ultra support.
