One chicken. Thirty-two levels. Zero mercy — fire up your Dreamcast and get grilling!

Hermes is a delightfully quirky Jump'n'Run developed by the talented folks at Retroguru and brought to you by DragonBox Shop. It's the kind of game that hooks you instantly with its charming premise and keeps you glued to the controller with tight platforming gameplay, secrets to uncover, and enough retro soul to make any classic gaming fan grin from ear to ear.

The Story

Your hero Hermes lives in France — the land of love, fine cuisine, and apparently very fast chickens. All he wanted was a proper farm-fresh barbecue. But his free-range bird had other plans and made a break for it. Now it's your job to chase that feathered escape artist across 32 hand-crafted levels before dinner gets away for good. Simple premise, seriously addictive gameplay.

What Makes Hermes Special

Every pixel in Hermes was placed by hand, giving the game a lovingly crafted look that stands out even among the best homebrew releases. The Amiga chiptune soundtrack is an absolute banger for retro music lovers, and the score tracking system gives you plenty of reason to replay each level and beat your personal best. Keep your eyes open for hidden warp zones — and steel yourself for the boss fight waiting at the end.

A Collector's Package You'll Want to Display

This isn't just a game — it's a proper collector's item. Your copy comes pressed on a Picture-Disc, sealed in a Jewelcase with a transparent tray. Pop it into any standard CD player and the full soundtrack plays back beautifully. On top of that, you get an exclusive Hermes comic by illustrator Joe Askey, making this package something truly special on your shelf.

Bonus Ports Included

The disc goes above and beyond by including ports for a wide range of platforms: Amiga OS4, Wii, GameCube, PlayStation Portable, and more. Many of these ports are exclusive to this disc and not yet available anywhere else — so you're getting genuine rarities alongside your Dreamcast version.

The game is completely region-free and runs on all Dreamcasts without any modification. Note that it may not be compatible with some NTSC-J units produced after 2000. For more details, visit the official site at retroguru.com/hermes.
