Zombie Nation & Abarenbo Tengu – Two NES Legends on One Red Cartridge
In 1991, a game launched for the NES that flew under many people's radar – and still became a true cult classic. Zombie Nation is a horizontal shoot-em-up (SHMUP) like no other: you play as a disembodied samurai head named Namakubi, blasting through a zombie-infested America to save the world from the alien overlord Darc Seed. In 1999, Darc Seed's meteor crashed in the Nevada desert, turning the entire US population into mindless zombies. Sounds crazy? It is – and that's exactly what makes Zombie Nation so unforgettable.

The Gameplay
Zombie Nation is a classic horizontal shooter featuring five diverse stages packed with bizarre enemies. You fire rapid-fire eyeball projectiles at foes and buildings, battle through iconic American landscapes, and face the game's infamous boss fights. With an eight-unit life bar, every hit counts – this is no walk in the park.
