RetroSix CleanRGB + EdgeBuster – Crystal-Clear RGB from Your SNES
Your SNES already outputs an RGB signal through the AV port – but unfortunately not a clean one. A DC offset causes incorrect voltage levels, and classic RGB mods or "smart" cables stuffed with capacitors are merely band-aids on the real problem. RetroSix's CleanRGB tackles the issue at the root.
What Makes the CleanRGB Different?
Instead of the usual AC-coupled circuit that introduces noise and artifacts, the CleanRGB uses a unique, entirely DC active feedback circuit, designed by RetroSix. The DC offset is corrected intelligently and actively – no guesswork, no compromise. You also get full control over brightness, saturation, and color balance: each RGB channel can be individually adjusted to achieve perfect IRE levels, even if your console is no longer factory-calibrated. Every signal is filtered to eliminate all non-video noise, with precise 75-ohm impedance matching to specification.
EdgeBuster – No More Ghosting on 2-Chip Consoles
Do you own a 2-chip variant of the SNES or SFC? Then you're probably familiar with the issue: a subtle ghosting effect, blurry pixel edges smearing left to right. This is caused by an inherent low-pass filter inside the console's PPU2 chip. The EdgeBuster reverse-injects and stabilizes the output waveform of the custom ICs, correcting droop and slow rise/fall times – visibly sharpening the image without any loss of detail or color. Enabling the feature is as simple as bridging a few pins – detailed instructions included.
Pre-Configured for All SNES/SFC Variants
The board comes pre-configured and tuned specifically for all SNES and SFC variants. Simply solder it in following the included installation guide – no complicated setup or guesswork required. An official installation video from RetroSix is also available.
