SVS Component Output Module – Component Video Output for Your Scalable Video Switch

Building a clean, modular retro gaming setup and want to route all your consoles through a single, well-managed switch? The Component Output Module is the go-to output choice when your TV, upscaler, or PVM expects Component Video (YPbPr) as its input.

Component via RCA connectors (Red/Green/Blue) is by far the most widespread standard for high-quality analog video signals outside of Asia – and this module delivers that reliably up to 1080p60.

Important Note on Signal Conversion

This module does not convert signals between formats. An RGB signal from a SCART input stays RGB – even when output through the component connectors. Your target device must be able to accept the signal format being sent. Those looking to convert SCART RGB to YPbPr will need to wait for the conversion modules currently in development.

Output Formats

• YPbPr – classic Component Video
• RGsB – Sync on Green, great for older professional monitors and certain consoles
• S-Video (Y/C on Green/Red)
• Composite Video (on Green)

Resolution & Bandwidth

Thanks to the SVS system's high-bandwidth switching and video buffering circuitry, resolutions from 240p all the way up to 1080p60 are passed through cleanly – no stuttering, no signal degradation.

Optional Toslink Digital Audio

With the separately available Toslink Output Module, you can output digital audio via optical – perfect for setups where you also want clean audio passthrough.

The SVS Ecosystem at a Glance

The Component Output Module is part of the modular Scalable Video Switch system. In its base configuration, the SVS supports up to 32 inputs (expandable to 248) and up to 6 outputs in any combination of SCART, Component, VGA, and Composite/S-Video. Auto-switching works via sync signal detection – power on your console and the switch does the rest.
