Amiga 4000D Capacitor Replacement (Kit is included)

Your Amiga 4000D deserves better than leaky caps holding it back!

If your beloved Amiga 4000D has been acting up lately — crashing unexpectedly, showing weird display artifacts, or sounding a bit off — there's a good chance aging capacitors are the culprit. After 30+ years, the original electrolytic caps on these machines are well past their prime, and failing capacitors are one of the most common causes of problems in classic Commodore hardware. The good news? It's a completely fixable problem, and we've got you covered.

What's included in this service?

When you send your Amiga 4000D to us at DragonBox Shop, our experienced technicians will carefully remove all the aging capacitors from your motherboard and replace them with fresh, high-quality new ones. The best part — all the replacement capacitors are already included in the price, so there's no hunting around for parts or surprise add-ons. Just send us your board and we'll handle everything.

Why recapping your Amiga 4000D matters

Old capacitors don't just cause annoying glitches — they can actually leak and corrode the PCB traces around them, leading to permanent and costly damage. Getting a recap done isn't just about fixing today's problems; it's about protecting your machine for the future. Whether you're a hardcore Amiga enthusiast or just rediscovering your childhood computer, keeping the hardware in great shape means more retro gaming fun for years to come.

Common symptoms this service can fix

This recap service is ideal if your Amiga 4000D is experiencing system instability or random crashes, distorted or missing audio, display issues such as flickering or color problems, or general unreliability during use. Even if your system seems to be running fine right now, a preventative recap is a smart move for any machine of this age.
