SVS TOSLINK Output Addon – Digital Audio for Your Scalable Video Switch

Important: This product is not a standalone module. It is an addon that plugs onto an existing SVS output module. You will need at least one compatible SVS output module (e.g. SCART, Component, VGA or Composite/S-Video) before you can use this addon.

What does this addon do?

Simply plug the TOSLINK Output Addon into the dedicated port on the rear of your SVS output module PCB. From that point on, the SVS will output digital audio via optical (Toslink/S/PDIF) at that output – automatically, in sync with whichever input is currently active. No fiddling, no manual switching.

Automatic Switching – Just Like You're Used To

The Scalable Video Switch detects which console is active via sync signal detection and switches both video and audio automatically. With this addon, that also applies to the digital Toslink signal – power on your console, and the SVS handles the rest.

Important: Requires TOSLINK Input Signal

The TOSLINK Output Addon can only output digital audio when a SVS TOSLINK Input Addon is also installed on the corresponding input module. Consoles without an optical audio output (e.g. purely analog systems) cannot currently be routed through this output. According to the manufacturer, an analog-to-digital conversion solution is planned but not yet available.
