Your old Game Boy DMG deserves an upgrade – and this RetroSix kit delivers exactly that. No more pale, unreadable dot-matrix display, just a crisp IPS panel with real backlighting. Best of all: no shell cutting, no complex wiring. Simply swap out the old front PCB for the new one – done.

What's in the kit?

The kit arrives pre-built and includes everything you need for the display swap:

• New IPS LCD in original Game Boy resolution
• New front board (PCB)
• Back board
• Bracket
• All required ribbon cables

Note: The original speaker needs to be soldered onto the new board – alternatively RetroSix offers replacement speakers. A soldering iron and basic soldering skills are therefore required.

• Fits original shells and compatible aftermarket shells

Important note on power supply

An IPS display draws more current than the original dot-matrix panel. RetroSix therefore strongly recommends using the GBO CleanPower module to ensure stable power delivery and replace the old, inefficient original power board. Without CleanPower, screen flickering or instability may occur.
