What makes it special?

FlipPad is made for portrait mobile games and emulators. A traditional D-pad and ABXY buttons sit in front of the screen. Flip the controls open to use your phone without unplugging the controller. According to 8BitDo, the hinge is rated for more than 6,000 cycles.

Connection and compatibility

USB-C connects directly to the phone, with no Bluetooth pairing or internal battery needed. The maker lists iPhones running iOS 26.2 or newer and Android devices running version 13 or newer. Recommended phone thickness is 8 to 10 mm.

Good to know

At around 31.5 g it is exceptionally light. Many phone cases can remain in place, but cases over 2 mm thick are not supported. Games must support controller input; it is not a universal touchscreen replacement.
