Game Brewery is one person: Čestmír Kocian, an indie developer from the Czech Republic who grew up with the Game Boy and never quite let it go. At some point he'd played all the good classics – so he started building his own.

What began as a personal quarantine project in 2020 grew into a serious indie studio with multiple released titles, successful Kickstarter campaigns, and a growing fanbase of retro enthusiasts worldwide.

Real games. Real cartridges.

Game Brewery stands for a clear philosophy: games should belong to you. No DRM, no live service, no microtransactions. Every title comes as a carefully crafted physical package – cartridge, printed manual and box – exactly like games were in the 90s.

The games run on real Game Boy hardware, from the original grey brick to the Game Boy Color and Advance. No emulator needed, no adapter – just plug in and play.

Small studio, big heart

Every Game Brewery game is a solo project – story, graphics, manual and box design all done by one person. You can feel it. The titles have a personal touch that big studio productions often lack, and they push 30-year-old hardware right to its limits.
