This small PCB replaces the 30-year-old stock voltage regulator with modern, efficient circuitry – all with a straightforward soldering job.
What does it actually do for you?
The original DMG power supply was never designed for the higher power demands of modern IPS displays or flash carts like the EverDrive. The IPS Power Regulator Pro delivers stable, clean 5V power, keeping your image sharp and evenly bright – no flickering, no brightness drops under full game load.
The difference is especially noticeable in audio: High-quality aluminium capacitors filter out the unwanted noise that IPS screens inject into the audio signal. The result is noticeably cleaner sound with significantly reduced speaker hum.

Important compatibility note
This voltage regulator is designed exclusively for IPS screen mods. It does not work with the original OEM Game Boy display. Compatible with Game Boy Original DMG-01 only – not suitable for Game Boy Color, Pocket or Advance.
Installation
Low to medium soldering skills required. Simply de-solder the wires from the old power regulator and solder them onto the IPS Power Regulator Pro in the exact same order. The red wire position is clearly marked on the board – no mix-ups possible.
