Android handheld designed for more demanding emulation and modern retro gaming features.
- 5.48" AMOLED display (1920×1080, 16:9)
- Android 13
- Strong performance up to PSP/Dreamcast. PS2 is often playable; GameCube can struggle depending on the game.
- Official carrying case included
The RG556 is the big brother of the RG Cube and RG406H: it offers the same processor with the same performance, but 5.48 inch OLED-screen with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels (or 1080x1920, to be exact)
The specs of the handheld is impressive: In addition to two Hallsticks (with colourful lighting if you like) and Hall shoulder buttons, it offers 8GB of LPDDRX4 RAM, 128GB of internal memory (which you can expand via a microSD card slot ), vibration and tilt sensors, an up-to-date Android 13 OS and a fast octa-core processor that can still manage emulation for most GameCube games and even many PS2 games!
The system supports DisplayPort-over-USB-C, so you can connect it to an external monitor or TV.
As always, we include the official carrying case, which you would otherwise have to pay extra for. Here's a small review video which also shows the emulation capacity of high-end-systems:
