Description

Retro Gamer 2/24 was published on February 16, 2024 - and if you don't have a subscription or don't want to run to the newsstand, you can easily order it from us.

Heise-Verlag actually wanted to discontinue the magazine with the November 2023 issue. However, the old team has secured the official license from Future Publishing and will continue with the new publisher in 2024! Both the number of pages (to 180 pages) and the paper quality have been increased!

Retro Gamer is the definitive magazine for anyone who knows that computer and video games existed before Fortnite. From 2024, Retro Gamer will be self-published by the same editorial team that produced the magazine externally for Heise/eMedia from 2012 to November 2023. Each issue is full of nostalgia and interesting facts. The team painstakingly localizes selected articles from the British Retro Gamer into German and contributes many of its own articles - by veteran games journalists such as Heinrich Lenhardt, Stephan Freundorfer, Anatol Locker, Michael Hengst, Roland Austinat, Harald Fränkel, Stephan Freundorfer, Jörg Langer and others.

From the contents of Retro Gamer 2/24:

  • Dark Forces (focus)
  • Magical Mario! (focus)
  • Call of Duty (History)
  • GTA Vice City (Making Of)
  • Wolfenstein 3D (Retro Revival)
  • Retro scene (new section!)
  • Under the magnifying glass: Bomberman (new section!)
  • ... and much, much more
